Oppo A72 5G Appears on Geekbench, the Unannounced Dimensity 720 5G Chip Benchmarked
Buried in TENNA’s database, a mystery 5G phone was found recently. Suspected to be the Oppo A72 5G, this particular model called ‘PDYM20’ has now been tested by the popular benchmarking site, Geekbench. Based on what we know so far, the A72 5G is yet another 5G handset at a pocket-friendly Oppo price tag — much like the A92 5G except that it’ll be powered by a shiny new Dimensity processor.
More to the point, the processor used in the new Oppo smartphone could be titled ‘Dimensity 720’, which has a 5G modem, and a CPU clocked at 2.0GHz.
Three lenses: 16MP + 8MP + 2MP.
The System-on-Chip is hooked to a 4,040 mAh battery (which recharges over 18W fast charge), 128GB of native storage, and 4GB/6GB/8GB of RAM. The A72 5G uses a side-mounted Oppo thumbprint reader to secure itself. It’ll be available in Simple Black, Oxygen Purple, and Neon Purple editions and is expected to start from Rs. 44,999.
